+ How does this Foray Coffee mobile app thing work? Why?
We are a high-end drive-thru coffee shop. We sell coffee and food like a normal drive through but really focus on our mobile app experience. Taking orders and payments through our custom app allows to have a customer’s order ready when they arrive to get it. We use the GPS information in the phone and our own estimation of how long the order will take to try to have the order finished just before the customer arrives. If we can get this right for most of our customers then everyone can flow right through.
+ How does payment work?
Either you pay at the window or we charge the customer’s payment card when their order is triggered into production.
+ How do you secure my payment card information?
We use WorldLine as our credit card processor in our app and Square for in-person orders. They do all the security and PCI compliance and hold your card information. Foray Coffee doesn’t save or have access to your card information. This is why you can’t edit your card info in our app.
+ How do you use my GPS?
When you have the app open we occasionally use your location information to show you the menu and location of the drive-thru pickup site. When you place your order we intensively use your location data as part of our system to know when to start producing your order so that it’s ready just before you arrive to pick it up. When you don’t have an order in an active status and you have the app running in the background or closed, we are not accessing your GPS data.
+ Can I pay without a credit card?
You can use a debit card or a pre loaded card, like a Visa gift card in our app. You can pay with card or cash at our window for drive up orders.
+ Can I drive up and order at the window?
Our south window is dedicated to mobile order pickup only. Our north window is open for drive-up orders or mobile order pickups.
